The Distance Between Us

The Distance Between Us
Kasie West

Okay, I read this book in literally one day of just sitting at the library and then came home and continued to flip the pages of this great book. The characters are very well developed and I fell in love with Xander and his flirtatious personality, what makes the book even better is Caymen's reactions to him. She tends to take everything that Xander says the wrong way. She doesn't realize who he really is at first and when she does she thinks that he may use her considering the fact that he's rich. For Caymen's whole life she's grown up with the stereotype that rich people are not to be trusted and certainly not to be in a relationship with. Caymen starts to fall for Xander and then she realizes that her mother with never approve, her mother has lived a poor lifestyle in a small home(apartment) above her antique doll shop. Overall, this book really grasps you and you want to fight for Xander but you also always have a doubt in your mind that he may be playing Caymen, so its up to you to decide....Xander or Caymen?

Life of Glass

okaaay! So the first book I'll officially review on this book blog is......the Life of Glass!

To be honest I'm still not sure what Jillian Cantor was trying to accomplish by writing this book, it's thoughts are so scattered. But it really was amazing the facts about how it takes glass a millions  years to die! Melissa was a really developed character and I got so attached to her during the book. Whenever her sister was mean to her I literally would cringe and want to slap her! I love how Cantor develops the friendship between Melissa and Ryan. So, I think the point of this story was just to take bit out of the teen lifestyle and really focus on it for a little bit, and let me tell you that this book is completeley relateable. It starts with a tragedy and then things progressively get better and than boom another bad thing happens......But overall I think this would be an easy read if you're bored!

I  buy all my books from either Amazon or a used book store, occasionally I use the library. I will try to post at least twice a week, but that's a lot easier said than done! I'm here if you need anything! If you have any suggestions for book trades or contests email me!
